Donald McKaba is a founding principal of Insurance Consulting Experts. The firm is focused upon providing a full range of risk management services to companies and organizations lacking the requisite infrastructure and desiring a high level of technical expertise, transactional execution and insurance market access. The newly formed firm's principal focus is large-scale construction programs and real estate management and development.
Donald served as a lead consultant on engagements with UIC, Inc. for five years and brings a professionalism honed by over 15 years experience in Risk and Insurance Management. Over the past five years, he has managed over 40 clients with combined premiums in excess of $100 million. Further, he has managed special projects for these clients inclusive of Mergers and Acquisitions Due Diligence, Disaster Recovery Planning, Contract Creation and Management Process Development, and many others. Prior to coming to UIC, he was the Risk Manager for AT&T Submarine Systems, Inc - the world's leading provider of undersea cable systems. In his role as Risk Manager, he was responsible for the insurance program for the cable systems under construction, cable ships, and equipment for the company. Further, he directed & oversaw all risk management elements of all contracts (over $5 billion in contracts). Don received his Associate of Risk Management (ARM) in 1995 from the Insurance Institute of America and has MBA and BS degrees. His depth and breadth of educational and work experiences uniquely qualify him to manage risk and insurance programs and projects for clients from the local one shop proprietorship to the billion dollar plus multinational public corporation. |
